Sunrise

Today is Sunday, Woke up early today. Excited about seeing the sunrise, rushed to the window. Expected to see a grand show of brilliant colors across the sky. I hadn't seen a dramatic sunrise in a long time. The darkness was slowly disappearing. I watched a few morning walkers going about their routine and I thought to myself, "am I the only one excited about today's sunrise". In a few moments the sun was up and shining across a blue sky. The horizon was a little misty and there was no show of photo-frame sunrise that I was expecting.

Frankly, I was a little disappointed.

Then some thoughts ran across my mind. How many people were still in bed and had missed to see this event. Though lackluster, it was a grand event. For today, this even was not going to happen again. I saw the trees and realized from their sway that they were not disappointed like I was. For them the sun had come to help them with their green creativity. The birds sounded joyous. They were merrily flying around searching for some food for themselves and their young ones. I realized that I had just experienced a miracle happening around me.

Did you know that the earth has been placed at just the right distance from the sun. A little further off or a little closer to the sun and all life (including mine) would never have happened. Wow! God created everything for us so amazingly.

I thank you God that I am alive today and saw this miracle that happened in my life today.

My Life in time of Social Distancing

Most of us will relate to the movie 'The Martian'. More in these times than any other time.  In the movie, we see Matt Damon left behind on Mars... all alone. Based on a novel by Andy Wier and directed by Ridley Scott, the movie captures the attention of the audience as 'The Martian' tries various activities to stay alive, occupied and find a way back home. The movie highlights the strong survival instincts of man. We all are in a similar situation. Many of us may say yes. Well, not really. Unlike 'The Martian', we are still on planet Earth. Thank God, we are with our family. Now that we are all at home now, the question that is looming large on all our minds is "what do I do now?" We tried everything that we keep ourselves occupied with. We flooded the social media with our digital discussions. Online gamer's are almost lost in their digital gaming world. We finished our quota of listening to music. We watched all the movies that we ha

Distanced from World... Nearer to God

These thoughts take off from where I left off in my previous article 'My Life in the time of Social Distancing'. So if you have not read the previous article, I urge you to read it. Like the previous one, this is also from my heart to yours. Hence, I seek your pardon in case of spelling and grammatical errors. My thoughts are racing faster than I can type. We are all keeping our distance from the world outside. Locked up in our homes, fear grips us when we think of the pestilence that threatens our very existence. We are terrified about the economic backlash that is about to come (it has already come upon many of us). We grope as if in darkness. We wonder if there will be light in the darkness? " weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. " Psalm 30:5 This wonderful verse from the Holy Bible gives me hope. It reminds me of a dawn that will bring God's light to this world. It reminds me to endure the darkest moments of t

3 Tips for Success

3 Tips for Success Everyone strives for success in life. The definition of success may differ from person. Some may be aiming for little, some for more and some may aim for a lot. "Don't aim for success if you want it; Just do and love what you believe in, and it will come naturally." - David Frost There is great depth in this quote. Love whatever you do. Believe in what you do. Be passionate about what you believe in. Success will come naturally. There are three characteristics that stand out in successful men. Anyone who wants success in life must have these traits in them. They make a person achieve their goals naturally. These are commitment, sincerity and hard work. Commitment Commitment to ones beliefs is the most important trait we must possess. One must be committed to what we do. Many a dream lies shattered because of a lack of commitment. Everything we do must be with commitment. Whether it is our career or relationship. It is like a pillar that su
